STANDING ORDER

To

All Block Education Officers,

Subject: The publication of textbooks by publishers of textbooks under the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009 (Gujarat Act 8 of 2009), the Information Technology Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the publication of textbooks by publishers of textbooks.

2. The matter has been examined. Every publisher of textbooks carrying on the publication of textbooks shall make an application in Form A to the Government of Gujarat within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Block Education Officer shall ensure that attendance register is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Gujarat within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Gujarat.
