STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistant Charity Commissioners,

Subject: The running of a pilgrim lodge by operators of a pilgrim lodge under the Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act, 2013, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act, 2013 (Maharashtra Act 30 of 2013), the Revenue Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a pilgrim lodge by operators of a pilgrim lodge.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a pilgrim lodge carrying on the running of a pilgrim lodge shall make an application in Form E to the Government of Maharashtra within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Assistant Charity Commissioner shall ensure that budget is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Maharashtra within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Maharashtra.
