STANDING ORDER
To
All Licensing Officers,
Subject: The display of hoardings by owners of a hoarding under the Maharashtra Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1953, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1953 (Maharashtra Act 11 of 1953), the Home Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the display of hoardings by owners of a hoarding.
2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a hoarding carrying on the display of hoardings shall make an application in Form V to the Appellate Tribunal within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.
3. The Licensing Officer shall ensure that advertisement is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Appellate Tribunal within fifteen days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Maharashtra.
