STANDING ORDER

All Anganwadi Supervisors,

Subject: The running of an observation home by observation homes under the Maharashtra State Commission for Women Act, 1993, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra State Commission for Women Act, 1993 (Maharashtra Act 15 of 1993), the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of an observation home by observation homes.

2. The matter has been examined. Every observation home carrying on the running of an observation home shall make an application in Form VII to the Committee within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. The Anganwadi Supervisor shall ensure that complaint is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Committee within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Maharashtra.
