STANDING ORDER

To

All Village Accountants,

Subject: The possession of land by persons in possession of land under the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954 (Delhi Act 8 of 1954), the Ports Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the possession of land by persons in possession of land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person in possession of land carrying on the possession of land shall make an application in Form 1 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Village Accountant shall ensure that khasra is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Revenue Divisional Officer within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Ports Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
