STANDING ORDER

To

All Patwaris,

Subject: The taking of a mortgage of agricultural land by mortgagees of agricultural land under the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954 (Delhi Act 8 of 1954), the Home Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the taking of a mortgage of agricultural land by mortgagees of agricultural land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every mortgagee of agricultural land carrying on the taking of a mortgage of agricultural land shall make an application in Form 7 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Patwari shall ensure that land revenue receipt is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Sub-Divisional Officer within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
