STANDING ORDER

To

All Estate Officers,

Subject: The business of a real estate agent by real estate agents under the Karnataka Rent Act, 1999, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Rent Act, 1999 (Karnataka Act 34 of 1999), the Housing Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the business of a real estate agent by real estate agents.

2. The matter has been examined. Every real estate agent carrying on the business of a real estate agent shall make an application in Form G to the Adjudicating Officer within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. The Estate Officer shall ensure that occupancy certificate is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Adjudicating Officer within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Housing Department, Government of Karnataka.
