STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Registrars,

Subject: The management of a co-operative housing society by co-operative housing societies under the Maharashtra Slum Areas (Improvement, Clearance and Redevelopment) Act, 1971, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Slum Areas (Improvement, Clearance and Redevelopment) Act, 1971 (Maharashtra Act 28 of 1971), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the management of a co-operative housing society by co-operative housing societies.

2. The matter has been examined. Every co-operative housing society carrying on the management of a co-operative housing society shall make an application in Form H to the Registrar of Co-operative Housing Societies within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Deputy Registrar shall ensure that completion certificate is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Registrar of Co-operative Housing Societies within one hundred and eighty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Maharashtra.
