STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputies Director of Education,

Subject: The imparting of education through open learning by operators of an open school under the Karnataka Education Act, 1995, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Education Act, 1995 (Karnataka Act 1 of 1995), the Education Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the imparting of education through open learning by operators of an open school.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of an open school carrying on the imparting of education through open learning shall make an application in Form G to the Director of Education within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Deputy Director of Education shall ensure that question paper is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director of Education within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Education Department, Government of Karnataka.
