STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Tahsildars,

Subject: The grazing of cattle on Government waste land by graziers on Government waste land under the Punjab Security of Land Tenures Act, 1953, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Punjab Security of Land Tenures Act, 1953 (Punjab Act 10 of 1953), the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Punjab hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the grazing of cattle on Government waste land by graziers on Government waste land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every grazier on Government waste land carrying on the grazing of cattle on Government waste land shall make an application in Form 12 to the Tahsildar within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Deputy Tahsildar shall ensure that mutation is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Tahsildar within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Punjab.
