STANDING ORDER

To

All Divisional Canal Officers,

Subject: The use of water by users of water under the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954 (Rajasthan Act 21 of 1954), the Social Welfare Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the use of water by users of water.

2. The matter has been examined. Every user of water carrying on the use of water shall make an application in Form F to the Irrigation Authority within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. The Divisional Canal Officer shall ensure that permit is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Irrigation Authority within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Rajasthan.
