STANDING ORDER

To

All Chaperones,

Subject: The running of a swimming pool by operators of a swimming pool under the Goa, Daman and Diu Public Gambling Act, 1976, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Goa, Daman and Diu Public Gambling Act, 1976 (Goa Act 14 of 1976), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Goa hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a swimming pool by operators of a swimming pool.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a swimming pool carrying on the running of a swimming pool shall make an application in Form D to the Sports Tribunal within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Chaperone shall ensure that certificate of recognition is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Sports Tribunal within fourteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Goa.
