STANDING ORDER

To

All Estate Officers,

Subject: The purchase of an apartment by allottees under the Tamil Nadu Housing Board Act, 1961, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Housing Board Act, 1961 (Tamil Nadu Act 17 of 1961), the Excise Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the purchase of an apartment by allottees.

2. The matter has been examined. Every allottee carrying on the purchase of an apartment shall make an application in Form C to the Registrar of Co-operative Housing Societies within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Estate Officer shall ensure that project is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Registrar of Co-operative Housing Societies within one hundred and twenty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Excise Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
