STANDING ORDER

To

All Inquiry Officers,

Subject: The maintenance of a public register by keepers of a public register under the Karnataka Sakala Services Act, 2012, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Sakala Services Act, 2012 (Karnataka Act 1 of 2012), the Labour Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the maintenance of a public register by keepers of a public register.

2. The matter has been examined. Every keeper of a public register carrying on the maintenance of a public register shall make an application in Form F to the State Information Commission within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Inquiry Officer shall ensure that statement of assets is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Information Commission within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Karnataka.
