OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The execution of contracts for a public authority by contractors of a public authority under the Maharashtra Lokayukta and Upa-Lokayuktas Act, 1971, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Transport Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the execution of contracts for a public authority by contractors of a public authority is to be regulated under the Maharashtra Lokayukta and Upa-Lokayuktas Act, 1971.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor of a public authority carrying on the execution of contracts for a public authority shall make an application in Form H to the Lokayukta within seven days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the execution of contracts for a public authority is undertaken, and the Lokayukta shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Maharashtra.
