OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The possession of land by persons in possession of land under the Himachal Pradesh Tenancy and Land Reforms Act, 1974, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Himachal Pradesh on the manner in which the possession of land by persons in possession of land is to be regulated under the Himachal Pradesh Tenancy and Land Reforms Act, 1974.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person in possession of land carrying on the possession of land shall make an application in Form 7 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the possession of land is undertaken, and the Revenue Divisional Officer shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Himachal Pradesh.
