STANDING ORDER

To

All Petroleum Inspectors,

Subject: The operation of a captive generating plant by captive generating plant owners under the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003 (Gujarat Act 24 of 2003), the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a captive generating plant by captive generating plant owners.

2. The matter has been examined. Every captive generating plant owner carrying on the operation of a captive generating plant shall make an application in Form III to the Appropriate Commission within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Petroleum Inspector shall ensure that test report is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Appropriate Commission within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Gujarat.
