Chennai, dated the 20th February, 2021

STANDING ORDER

All Building Inspectors,

Subject: The running of licensed premises by licensees under the Chennai City Municipal Corporation Act, 1919, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Chennai City Municipal Corporation Act, 1919 (Tamil Nadu Act 4 of 1919), the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of licensed premises by licensees.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee carrying on the running of licensed premises shall make an application in Form C to the Town Planning Authority within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. The Building Inspector shall ensure that drain is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Town Planning Authority within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
