STANDING ORDER

To

All Inspecting Officers,

Subject: The maintenance of a housing complex by facility management agencies under the Tamil Nadu Regulation of Rights and Responsibilities of Landlords and Tenants Act, 2017, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Regulation of Rights and Responsibilities of Landlords and Tenants Act, 2017 (Tamil Nadu Act 42 of 2017), the Revenue Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the maintenance of a housing complex by facility management agencies.

2. The matter has been examined. Every facility management agency carrying on the maintenance of a housing complex shall make an application in Form E to the Registrar of Co-operative Housing Societies within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. The Inspecting Officer shall ensure that brochure is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Registrar of Co-operative Housing Societies within one hundred and twenty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
