OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The execution of defence works by contractors for defence works under the Karnataka Control of Organised Crimes Act, 2002, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Home Department, Government of Karnataka on the manner in which the execution of defence works by contractors for defence works is to be regulated under the Karnataka Control of Organised Crimes Act, 2002.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor for defence works carrying on the execution of defence works shall make an application in Form H to the Commanding Officer of the Unit within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the execution of defence works is undertaken, and the Commanding Officer of the Unit shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Karnataka.
