OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The transport of excisable articles by transporters under the Karnataka Excise Act, 1965, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Energy Department, Government of Karnataka on the manner in which the transport of excisable articles by transporters is to be regulated under the Karnataka Excise Act, 1965.
2. The matter has been examined. Every transporter carrying on the transport of excisable articles shall make an application in Form E to the Licensing Authority within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the transport of excisable articles is undertaken, and the Licensing Authority shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Energy Department, Government of Karnataka.
