OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The collection of solid waste by contractors for solid waste collection under the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Urban Development Department, Government of Gujarat on the manner in which the collection of solid waste by contractors for solid waste collection is to be regulated under the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976.
2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor for solid waste collection carrying on the collection of solid waste shall make an application in Form D to the Town Planning Authority within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the collection of solid waste is undertaken, and the Town Planning Authority shall dispose of it within fourteen days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Urban Development Department, Government of Gujarat.
