OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The management of a gurdwara by committees of a gurdwara under the Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act, 2013, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Revenue Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the management of a gurdwara by committees of a gurdwara is to be regulated under the Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act, 2013.

2. The matter has been examined. Every committee of a gurdwara carrying on the management of a gurdwara shall make an application in Form A to the Government of Maharashtra within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the management of a gurdwara is undertaken, and the Government of Maharashtra shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Maharashtra.
