OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The cultivation of hemp under licence by cultivators of hemp under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi on the manner in which the cultivation of hemp under licence by cultivators of hemp is to be regulated under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009.

2. The matter has been examined. Every cultivator of hemp carrying on the cultivation of hemp under licence shall make an application in Form E to the Licensing Authority within seven days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the cultivation of hemp under licence is undertaken, and the Licensing Authority shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
