OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The employment of building workers by employers of building workers under the Bombay Industrial Relations Act, 1946, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the employment of building workers by employers of building workers is to be regulated under the Bombay Industrial Relations Act, 1946.

2. The matter has been examined. Every employer of building workers carrying on the employment of building workers shall make an application in Form VIII to the Industrial Tribunal within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the employment of building workers is undertaken, and the Industrial Tribunal shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Maharashtra.
