STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Collectors,

Subject: The preparedness of a hospital for emergencies by operators of a hospital under the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003 (Gujarat Act 20 of 2003), the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the preparedness of a hospital for emergencies by operators of a hospital.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a hospital carrying on the preparedness of a hospital for emergencies shall make an application in Form E to the National Authority within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Deputy Collector shall ensure that installation is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the National Authority within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Gujarat.
