OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land under the Odisha Survey and Settlement Act, 1959, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Odisha on the manner in which the holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land is to be regulated under the Odisha Survey and Settlement Act, 1959.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of Government land carrying on the holding of Government land on lease shall make an application in Form 14 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of Government land on lease is undertaken, and the Sub-Divisional Officer shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Odisha.
