STANDING ORDER

All Probation Officers,

Subject: The running of a shelter home by shelter homes under the Andhra Pradesh Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1988, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1988 (Andhra Pradesh Act 10 of 1988), the General Administration Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a shelter home by shelter homes.

2. The matter has been examined. Every shelter home carrying on the running of a shelter home shall make an application in Form V to the Committee within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Probation Officer shall ensure that register of children is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Committee within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
