STANDING ORDER

All Chiefs Executive Officer of the Zila Parishad,

Subject: The operation of a ferry by operators of a ferry under the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 (Rajasthan Act 13 of 1994), the Finance Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a ferry by operators of a ferry.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a ferry carrying on the operation of a ferry shall make an application in Form 2 to the Gram Panchayat within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Chief Executive Officer of the Zila Parishad shall ensure that work order is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Gram Panchayat within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Rajasthan.
