OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The operation of a water supply scheme by operators of a water supply scheme under the Karnataka Irrigation Act, 1965, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Water Resources Department, Government of Karnataka on the manner in which the operation of a water supply scheme by operators of a water supply scheme is to be regulated under the Karnataka Irrigation Act, 1965.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a water supply scheme carrying on the operation of a water supply scheme shall make an application in Form E to the Dam Safety Authority within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a water supply scheme is undertaken, and the Dam Safety Authority shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Water Resources Department, Government of Karnataka.
