OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The holding of land assessed to revenue by holders of land under the West Bengal Estates Acquisition Act, 1954, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of West Bengal on the manner in which the holding of land assessed to revenue by holders of land is to be regulated under the West Bengal Estates Acquisition Act, 1954.

2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of land carrying on the holding of land assessed to revenue shall make an application in Form 2 to the Land Tribunal within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of land assessed to revenue is undertaken, and the Land Tribunal shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of West Bengal.
