STANDING ORDER
To
All Circles Inspector of Excise,
Subject: Dealing in excisable articles by dealers under the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915 (Madhya Pradesh Act 2 of 1915), the Transport Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to dealing in excisable articles by dealers.
2. The matter has been examined. Every dealer carrying on dealing in excisable articles shall make an application in Form E to the Commissioner within ten days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.
3. The Circle Inspector of Excise shall ensure that label is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Commissioner within ten days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
