STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Directors,

Subject: The representation of athletes by sports agents under the Goa, Daman and Diu Public Gambling Act, 1976, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Goa, Daman and Diu Public Gambling Act, 1976 (Goa Act 14 of 1976), the Revenue Department, Government of Goa hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the representation of athletes by sports agents.

2. The matter has been examined. Every sports agent carrying on the representation of athletes shall make an application in Form H to the Government of Goa within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. The Deputy Director shall ensure that register of athletes is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Goa within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Goa.
