OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The maintenance of a dam by owners of a dam under the Kerala Ground Water (Control and Regulation) Act, 2002, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Social Welfare Department, Government of Kerala on the manner in which the maintenance of a dam by owners of a dam is to be regulated under the Kerala Ground Water (Control and Regulation) Act, 2002.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a dam carrying on the maintenance of a dam shall make an application in Form F to the Tribunal within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the maintenance of a dam is undertaken, and the Tribunal shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Kerala.
