STANDING ORDER

All Fertiliser Inspectors,

Subject: Membership of a society by members under the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961 (Punjab Act 23 of 1961), the Finance Department, Government of Punjab hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to membership of a society by members.

2. The matter has been examined. Every member carrying on membership of a society shall make an application in Form C to the Director of Agriculture within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. The Fertiliser Inspector shall ensure that sample is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director of Agriculture within one hundred and twenty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Punjab.
