OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The sale of lottery tickets by lottery agents under the Tamil Nadu Transparency in Tenders Act, 1998, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the sale of lottery tickets by lottery agents is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Transparency in Tenders Act, 1998.
2. The matter has been examined. Every lottery agent carrying on the sale of lottery tickets shall make an application in Form GFR 19 to the Comptroller and Auditor-General within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sale of lottery tickets is undertaken, and the Comptroller and Auditor-General shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
