STANDING ORDER

All Education Officers,

Subject: The running of a hostel by hostels under the Andhra Pradesh Education Act, 1982, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Education Act, 1982 (Andhra Pradesh Act 1 of 1982), the Education Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a hostel by hostels.

2. The matter has been examined. Every hostel carrying on the running of a hostel shall make an application in Form D to the Council within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Education Officer shall ensure that mark sheet is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Council within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Education Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
