STANDING ORDER

To

All Registrars,

Subject: The typing of pleadings for reward by court typists under the Bombay Court Fees Act, 1959, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Bombay Court Fees Act, 1959 (Maharashtra Act 36 of 1959), the Information Technology Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the typing of pleadings for reward by court typists.

2. The matter has been examined. Every court typist carrying on the typing of pleadings for reward shall make an application in Form C to the Government of Maharashtra within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Registrar shall ensure that court fee stamp is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Maharashtra within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Maharashtra.
