OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The transmission of programmes by cable by cable operators under the Andhra Pradesh Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1955, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh on the manner in which the transmission of programmes by cable by cable operators is to be regulated under the Andhra Pradesh Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1955.

2. The matter has been examined. Every cable operator carrying on the transmission of programmes by cable shall make an application in Form V to the Appellate Tribunal within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the transmission of programmes by cable is undertaken, and the Appellate Tribunal shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
