STANDING ORDER

All Naib Tahsildars,

Subject: The survey of land by licensed surveyors under the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955 (West Bengal Act 10 of 1955), the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of West Bengal hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the survey of land by licensed surveyors.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensed surveyor carrying on the survey of land shall make an application in Form 14 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Naib Tahsildar shall ensure that land revenue receipt is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Revenue Divisional Officer within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of West Bengal.
