OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The holding of a fair by licensees of a fair under the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the General Administration Department, Government of Rajasthan on the manner in which the holding of a fair by licensees of a fair is to be regulated under the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a fair carrying on the holding of a fair shall make an application in Form 8 to the Gram Sabha within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of a fair is undertaken, and the Gram Sabha shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Rajasthan.
