STANDING ORDER

To

All Waqf Officers,

Subject: The hereditary management of a temple by hereditary trustees under the Rajasthan Public Trust Act, 1959, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Public Trust Act, 1959 (Rajasthan Act 42 of 1959), the Law Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the hereditary management of a temple by hereditary trustees.

2. The matter has been examined. Every hereditary trustee carrying on the hereditary management of a temple shall make an application in Form C to the Waqf Tribunal within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Waqf Officer shall ensure that trust property is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Waqf Tribunal within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Rajasthan.
