OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The operation of a rural water supply scheme by operators of a rural water supply scheme under the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Rajasthan on the manner in which the operation of a rural water supply scheme by operators of a rural water supply scheme is to be regulated under the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a rural water supply scheme carrying on the operation of a rural water supply scheme shall make an application in Form 6 to the Zila Parishad within seven days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a rural water supply scheme is undertaken, and the Zila Parishad shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Rajasthan.
