STANDING ORDER

To

All Plant Protection Officers,

Subject: The manufacture of insecticides by manufacturers of insecticides under the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961 (Punjab Act 23 of 1961), the Finance Department, Government of Punjab hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the manufacture of insecticides by manufacturers of insecticides.

2. The matter has been examined. Every manufacturer of insecticides carrying on the manufacture of insecticides shall make an application in Form B to the Market Committee within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Plant Protection Officer shall ensure that sample is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Market Committee within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Punjab.
