STANDING ORDER

To

All Gram Sevaks,

Subject: The execution of works for a Panchayat by contractors engaged by a Panchayat under the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 (Rajasthan Act 13 of 1994), the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the execution of works for a Panchayat by contractors engaged by a Panchayat.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor engaged by a Panchayat carrying on the execution of works for a Panchayat shall make an application in Form 8 to the District Collector within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Gram Sevak shall ensure that muster roll is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Collector within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Rajasthan.
