OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The transport of hazardous chemicals by transporters of hazardous chemicals under the Karnataka Fire Force Act, 1964, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Karnataka on the manner in which the transport of hazardous chemicals by transporters of hazardous chemicals is to be regulated under the Karnataka Fire Force Act, 1964.

2. The matter has been examined. Every transporter of hazardous chemicals carrying on the transport of hazardous chemicals shall make an application in Form G to the Relief Commissioner within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the transport of hazardous chemicals is undertaken, and the Relief Commissioner shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Karnataka.
