OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The plying of a tractor for hire by owners of a tractor plying for hire under the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh on the manner in which the plying of a tractor for hire by owners of a tractor plying for hire is to be regulated under the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a tractor plying for hire carrying on the plying of a tractor for hire shall make an application in Form 6 to the Gram Sabha within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the plying of a tractor for hire is undertaken, and the Gram Sabha shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
