OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The operation of a firing range by licensees of a firing range under the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh on the manner in which the operation of a firing range by licensees of a firing range is to be regulated under the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a firing range carrying on the operation of a firing range shall make an application in Form A to the Cantonment Board within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a firing range is undertaken, and the Cantonment Board shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
