OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The sale of arms and ammunition by dealers in arms and ammunition under the Karnataka Police Act, 1964, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Home Department, Government of Karnataka on the manner in which the sale of arms and ammunition by dealers in arms and ammunition is to be regulated under the Karnataka Police Act, 1964.

2. The matter has been examined. Every dealer in arms and ammunition carrying on the sale of arms and ammunition shall make an application in Form VI to the Chief Controller of Explosives within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sale of arms and ammunition is undertaken, and the Chief Controller of Explosives shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Karnataka.
