OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The discharge of public functions by public servants under the Uttar Pradesh Lokayukta and Upa-Lokayuktas Act, 1975, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Law Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh on the manner in which the discharge of public functions by public servants is to be regulated under the Uttar Pradesh Lokayukta and Upa-Lokayuktas Act, 1975.

2. The matter has been examined. Every public servant carrying on the discharge of public functions shall make an application in Form D to the Central Vigilance Commission within seven days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the discharge of public functions is undertaken, and the Central Vigilance Commission shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
